Nihongo Dungeon

Nihongo Dungeon is a typing roguelite game, designed to serve as a playful tool for studying Japanese characters(kanas).

In a run, the player faces various enemies using japanese characters and words. By defeating enemies, they gain experience, eventually leveling up and unlocking new characters and words, increasing the game's complexity while also advancing in their studies.

HOW TO PLAY

Upon first entering the game and every time you reach a new level, you will unlock a new kana and words that use that one kana and the others you have seen previously.

To fight your enemies, you must type the character or word shown in the scroll. After typing, you must press ENTER to make your attack.

If you take too long, the scroll will burn completely and the enemy will make an attack. Defeating enemies will provide you with experience. Typing a wrong word will reduce your experience, so you won't progress to a new level until you are familiar with that level's content.
